Shipping Confirmation
This section covers the handover moment when tracking becomes available. Focus on a clear tracking CTA, what to expect next, and any helpful delivery options.
Dispatch / Shipping confirmation
Confirm shipment and carrier handover, provide tracking that customers can use immediately, and set expectations for delivery timing (including cases where tracking updates take a while or the order ships in multiple parcels).

Loyalty/ Conversion target
Keep secondary and below the transactional content:
Delivery updates opt-in: app/push/SMS for proactive delivery notifications.
Join loyalty: points, perks, and order management benefits.
Cross-sell: recommendations aligned to the shipped items.
Possible timings (choose one)
Dispatch confirmation timing: depending on trigger setup, the dispatch confirmation can be sent at different points. Make sure subject line and wording match the chosen timing (don’t promise “handed to carrier” if you only know a label was created).
Tracking created in parcelLab (default) Also described as: label created, shipment created, tracking number assigned, dispatch data received.
Carrier confirmed label (EDI) / pickup scheduled Also described as: EDI received, carrier accepted/confirmed, first carrier status beyond label creation.
Inbound scan (first physical scan) Also described as: first scan, carrier acceptance scan, parcel entered carrier network (late).
Pros/cons by timing
Tracking created in parcelLab (default)
Fastest customer update; sets expectations early; good when label creation ≈ actual dispatch
Risk of “tracking not found yet” or no scans; may be too early if label is created long before handover; wording must be careful
Carrier confirmed label (EDI) / pickup scheduled
More reliable that tracking works; often at least one carrier event; reduces confusion vs “label only”
Later message; some couriers don’t provide EDI consistently; can still have a scan gap afterward
Inbound scan (first physical scan)
Highest confidence the parcel is moving in the carrier network; lowest risk of dead links
Often too late to feel like a “dispatch confirmation”; customers may already ask for updates; reduces “proactive” value
Untracked dispatch (no tracking available)
Confirm the order has left the warehouse when no carrier tracking is available. Set clear delivery expectations, explain why tracking isn’t provided, and give an easy path to support if the parcel doesn’t arrive on time.

This shipment won’t have tracking—but it’s on the way. Here’s the expected delivery window and what to do if it’s late.
Recommended content
Shipping confirmation: clearly confirm the order left the warehouse.
Tracking explanation: state that no tracking link/number is available for this shipment (and why, if you can keep it short).
Delivery expectation: provide a realistic delivery window or the next expected milestone.
What to do if late: a simple “if it hasn’t arrived by X, contact us” instruction.
Order reference: order number + customer support path.
Items overview (optional): short item list to reinforce confidence.
