Carrier Report

The Carrier report provides an overview of how your logistics processes are performing against the industry standard.

Use Case

Using this report, you can identify in which areas your logistics could improve, your position in the industry, and allow you to deep-dive into the reasons behind low performance.

Carrier Report Features

This report is based on the delivery date of the parcel and calculations are done only for delivered parcels. It contains data for the last two years.

The filter at the top of the page allows you to observe the performance of your brand against the market for a defined time period by carrier, continent, country, region, and shop where parcels are being delivered.

Filters in the Carrier report

The top-level row shows your preconfigured industry and the core metrics of this report. This gives you an overview of your overall score (see calculation) compared to the industry score and the number of competitors that are in the industry.

Carrier scorecard

You can click the More info icon icon next to the industry size to see what your share is in the industry and the number of carriers that are used across all competitors.

Additionally, you can compare yourself against any industry of your preference by selecting Other Industry from the Category filter, and then choosing which industry you would like to analyze.

Overall Score Calculation

The core metrics show your overall score next to the industry score. Your overall score is calculated as the sum of your individual metrics score divided by the number of metrics.

Benchmarking score calculation formula

The following metrics represent each individual score:

  • Score 1 (Carrier on Time): It gets the value of 5 if “Carrier on Time” is between 90% and 100%, 4 if between 80% and 90%, 3 if between 70% and 80%, 2 if between 60% and 70%, 1 if between 50% and 60%.

  • Score 2 (Promise rate): It gets the value of 5 if “Promise rate” is between 90% and 100%, 4 if between 80% and 90%, 3 if between 70% and 80%, 2 if between 60% and 70%, 1 if between 50% and 60%.

  • Score 3 (Exception rate): It gets the value of 5 if “Exception rate” is between 90% and 100%, 4 if between 80% and 90%, 3 if between 70% and 80%, 2 if between 60% and 70%, 1 if between 50% and 60%.

  • Score 4 (Dispatch on Time): It gets the value of 5 if “Dispatch on Time” is between 90% and 100%, 4 if between 80% and 90%, 3 if between 70% and 80%, 2 if between 60% and 70%, 1 if between 50% and 60%.

  • Score 5 (Delivery on first attempt): It gets the value of 5 if “Delivery on first attempt” is between 90% and 100%, 4 if between 80% and 90%, 3 if between 70% and 80%, 2 if between 60% and 70%, 1 if between 50% and 60%.

The score for the industry is calculated in the same way.
