Status Model

The parcelLab platform operates with a status model containing codes that are mapped to each tracking update.

Status Codes

Every update is mapped to a status code. Not every status code directly relates to a scan event by the carrier but can also be caused by a change in product code or other base data of the delivery, or the lack of expected scans.

The status codes available are described in the following table.

A note (not shown to recipient).

Pending

No tracking information available yet.

OrderProcessed

The order has been processed.

PickUpScheduled

The goods are being processed for pickup.

PickUpPlanned

The goods will be handed over to the logistics company at the latest by the defined time.

Upgrade

The goods are being finished and personalized.

InboundScan

The goods have been sent.

InterimHaul

The goods are on their way.

InTransit

The goods are on their way.

CustomsIn

The goods have entered customs for processing.

CustomsReleased

The goods have been processed and released from customs.

ExportHub

The goods are being processed for export into the destination country.

ImportHub

The goods have arrived in the destination country.

Scheduled

An appointment to make the delivery has been made.

DestinationDeliveryCenter

The goods have arrived in the destination region.

DestinationDeliveryDepot

The goods are being prepared for delivery.

OutForDelivery

The goods will be delivered today.

Rerouted

The goods have been rerouted.

FailedAttemptFirst

The goods could not be delivered.

FailedAttemptSecond

The goods could not be delivered on the second delivery attempt.

FailedAttemptFinal

The goods could not be delivered on the final delivery attempt.

Return

The goods are being returned to the consigner.

ReturnWarning

The goods must be collected as soon as possible.

Stored

The goods are being stored temporarily.

PickupReadyToday

The goods are ready for collection.

PickupReadyNextDay

The goods will be ready for collection on the next working day.

PartiallyDelivered

The goods have been partially delivered.

Delivered

The goods have been successfully delivered. See the list of possible delivery location codes.

Exception

An exception has occurred. See the list of possible exception reasons.

Cancelled

The order has been cancelled.

None

There is no matching for that status.

Exception Reasons

The reasons available for the Exception status code are described in the following table.

AddressIssue

The address could not be found.

ContactIssue

The delivery was delayed due to missing or incorrect contact information.

CustomerRefusal

The delivery was rejected by the recipient.

Customs

There was problem with the customs clearance process.

Damaged

The packaging or goods were damaged.

DeliveryPayment

The delivery required cash on delivery but was not paid.

Destroyed

The package was physically destroyed, damaged beyond repair or disposed of.

Exception

There was an issue with the delivery and it could not be performed.

FailedAttempt

The carrier tried to reach the recipient unsuccessfully.

ForceMajeure

The delivery could not be performed due to unforeseen circumstances (for example: severe weather conditions).

IdentFailed

The delivery required identification from the recipient but they could not be verified.

ItemsMissing

Not all listed items were found.

LackSpace

The delivery could not be loaded onto the truck.

Lost

The package cannot be located, investigations closed, tracking terminated or stolen.

Misrouted

The delivery was routed to the wrong depot/tour.

MissingData

Missing essential documentation for this package is causing delays.

NotCollected

The goods were not collected from the pickup point and will be returned to the sender.

Notified

Notification to the recipient that the delivery could not be performed.

OperationalError

The delivery was delayed due to unforeseen operational or technical issues.

Prohibited

The package could not be delivered as it may contain prohibited items.

Recall

The goods were recalled by the retailer.

Return

The goods will be returned to the sender.

Seized

The package was confiscated by authorities, customs seizure.

Strike

Any kind of labor dispute.

TimeIssue

The tour had to be aborted because the driver exceeded the working period.

TrafficProblem

The delivery was delayed due to traffic problems.

Other

Delivery Location Codes

The delivery location codes available for the Delivered status code are described in the following table.

Description

Doorstep

A direct delivery to the recipient.

Postbox

A letterbox with the recipient's name on it.

Neighbor

A delivery to a neighbor.

HomeDeposit

A safe deposit as authorized by the recipient.

ParcelShop

A pickup location operated by the carrier or a third party (for example: post offices, access points, and collection points).

ParcelLocker

Any parcel locker solution that usually allows for 24/7 collections.

Notified

The exact pickup location is not given but as per the carrier's information listed on the notification card left in the recipient's post box.

Reception

The goods have been delivered to the reception.

Unknown

The pickup location is not further specified by the courier. This does not mean that it is unknown to the courier where it was delivered, but rather only no delivery location has been explicitly stated.

Note: The majority of these deliveries will be direct deliveries to customers.
