Sending On-Demand Messages

The following instructions explain the basics of setting up on-demand messages and the different components that need to be set up in order to send ad hoc communications.

Create a new message type

Start by creating a new message type in Messages for your on-demand message. Be sure to save and publish your message type so it can be sent.

Create an on-demand message and define recipients

Next, in On Demand Messaging, do the following:

1. Select the message type to use.

2. Add a description for your on-demand message.

3. Add filters to define the message's recipients.

4. Preview a list of trackings that will be included for your on-demand message.

5. Apply message sending exceptions if necessary.

Save and send

When you’re satisfied with the configuration of your on-demand message (that is: with the content in the message and the filtered segment of recipients), your on-demand message is ready to be sent!

Review on-demand message status

After sending your on-demand message, you can review its status to get an overview of the send’s success and failure rate, as well as the number of messages in the queue to be processed.
