How do I activate campaign banners in emails?

Campaign banners configured in the Campaign Manager module to publish in emails will display by default (that is: the placeholders for the standard banner and HTML banner are added to the top of email content by default).

Note: The additional placeholders for standard banners ({{generated/campaign/email_banner_2}} and {{generated/campaign/email_banner_2}} placeholders currently need to be added to email templates manually.

For further information on configuring campaigns in emails, see our setup guide.

How do I activate campaign banners on my Order Status page?

Campaign banners configured in the Campaign Manager module to publish on the Order Status page will display by default (that is: are active via use_campaign_banners: true in the JavaScript object).

We recommend using the following format for banner images in Campaign Manager:

  • The image file is a .png, .jpg or .gif.

  • For emails, the image has a resolution of 600px horizontally for optimal rendering, with no limit by height.

  • For the Order Status page, the image has a ratio of 0.7 : 1, the image has a resolution of 700x100px for optimal rendering, with text being at least 16px high.

For further information on configuring campaign banners, see our setup guide.

What banner takes precedence on the Order Status page when you have a banner image set in the URL and in Campaign Manager?

During the campaign period, the campaign banner in Campaign Manager will override the Order Status page’s regular banner options. If a campaign is active, the banner image and URL set via the banner_image and banner_link options will be ignored.

Can I add campaigns in communications that vary by the product contained in the order?

Yes, this can be set up in the audience builder where you can add a comma separated list of article IDs/numbers.
